In December of 2023, sisters Megan and Ivy came to Hattiesburg, Mississippi for the holidays to visit their parents, Jenny and Gerry Mallory, who own the historic Ross Mansion Bed & Breakfast. Built in 1903, the beautifully restored Victorian home feels like stepping into another time.
At the mansion, guests can experience its charm by staying overnight in one of the historic rooms, enjoying Afternoon Teas, or joining one of the mansion’s immersive Murder Mystery Dinners. Every visit offers a chance to slow down, step away from the ordinary, and become part of the story.

Behind the mansion sat an old Carriage House. During their visit home, Megan and Ivy, who had been working for The Walt Disney Company in Orlando, began dreaming of creating something of their own. When their mom suggested transforming the forgotten space into a theater, everything clicked. That idea became the beginning of "In Wonderland".
In the summer of 2024, the sisters moved to Hattiesburg to bring their vision to life. With help from their grandparents and parents, they transformed the Carriage House into an immersive theatrical space, building the stage, lighting, and set from their designs. They filled the walls with repurposed chandeliers from Ross Mansion, vintage frames, portraits, and illustrations to create the whimsical “Gallery of Fairytales and Fables.”
By November 2024, the space was complete, and the sisters turned their attention to bringing the story to life through original music. With the help of Nashville musician Chandler Wells, they wrote and recorded five original songs for the In Wonderland production. Ivy, a talented singer and performer, became the heart of the experience as Alice, captivating guests with her voice and storytelling, with their dad playing the Hatter.
In May 2025, In Wonderland: An Immersive Theatrical Experience opened its doors. What began as an empty room has become a place where stories come alive.

In addition to the fairy gardens and whimsical landscape surrounding The Storybook Cottage, the Mallory family has spent countless hours transforming the Ross Mansion gardens into an experience of their own. A 300-foot walking path winds through the backyard, surrounded by woodland plants, twinkling lights, and hidden details that invite guests to slow down and explore.
In October 2025, the gardens opened to the community for select evenings during spooky season with the debut of the Twilight Tales Trail. Nearly 1,000 guests wandered the illuminated pathways, discovering a storybook-inspired experience.

Across the street from Ross Mansion and the Carriage House sits The Storybook Cottage—a once-simple 1950s home transformed into a dreamy escape inspired by fairytales, imagination, and a love for storytelling.
Over nearly five months, Megan and Ivy worked alongside their family to bring the cottage to life, filling every corner with handcrafted details. The home features hand-painted murals, hand-cut designs created by their grandfather, whimsical trim and scalloped accents added to the exterior, and a storybook-inspired landscape complete with enchanting fairy gardens.
Inside, guests are welcomed into a cozy, Bavarian-style cottage kitchen with charming details that feel as though they were pulled from the pages of a fairytale. Designed as a cozy getaway for families, staycations, and small groups, The Storybook Cottage offers overnight guests the chance to experience a little everyday magic—including a special scavenger hunt that encourages visitors to discover the cottage’s hidden details.
Located just steps from Ross Mansion and the Carriage House, The Storybook Cottage is another way The Storybook Society brings stories to life—one handcrafted detail at a time.
For Megan and Ivy, this is not the final chapter—it’s only the beginning. They can’t wait to continue turning the pages and creating more original stories, music, and magical experiences through The Storybook Society for years to come.

As the oldest of three sisters, I spent my childhood “directing” plays for friends and family in our living room. Entertainment and the arts have always been at the heart of my life—and something I’ve shared closely with my sisters. One of my biggest dreams growing up was to work for The Walt Disney Company, and after earning my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and Advertising Management from Portland State University, that dream came true. I began my career in PR events at the Disneyland Resort before moving to Florida to continue my work with Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise Line. Surrounded by so many talented cast members, crew, and Imagineers—and inspired by Walt Disney himself—I was reminded of the magic of storytelling. That same inspiration now fuels my work at the Carriage House, where my sister and I bring stories to life in new and imaginative ways.

Hello everyone! My name is Ivy Mallory, and I am the main performer for Carriage House Events. Growing up in a musical family, I have been singing from a young age. It was a passion of mine that I knew I wanted to pursue from the very beginning. Like Megan, it was my dream to work for The Walt Disney Company. Some time was spent at Disneyland and the rest at Walt Disney World. During those years, I worked my way up to trainer and coordinator in Magic Kingdom. In addition to working for Disney, I graduated with a B.A. in Communications and Media. Throughout my life I competed in local talent competitions, performed on live television, as well as large concert venues. I have been professionally trained by a voice coach who has done voiceover work for many projects, including Solo: A Star Wars Story. My degree, along with my entertainment experience, is how I partnered with my older sister, Megan, The Storybook Society.
